As a public health nurse, I know the benefits of being able to breastfeed my babe....but as a Mama, it was super-important for me to be able to nurse in public (or at home with company) and feel comfortable with it. That is why I am a sucker for nursing covers!

Rockabye Baby!

I've never really been a big fan of the traditional baby lullabye. If any, I prefer the instumental variety without vocals. And yes, I do think the lullabies are as much for us as they are for the baby! I can not even count the number of midnight feedings or times of simply holding or rocking my babe to sleep in her room (which is why my enormous cup of coffee is a given this very morning!). So after listening to many "so-so" cds, I discovered Rockabye Baby!! Woo hoo! I was pretty excited (smile).

Wow!! It has been a month and a half since I have posted and I feel incredibly bad. Life has been busy.....with a trip down to Taber and Warner to see all the grandparents and then a week or more of dealing (and healing) from pesky cold bugs, as well as feeling the winter blahhs (it's inevitable when you live in Northern Alberta). Okay...enough of my excuses. I am back and ready to post! And in my way of making it up to those of you who take the time to check out my blog, I'm offering my first GIVEAWAY!!

These bottles are BPA free (or Bisphenol A free) and do not contain any other harmful substances like Phthalates, PVC's or lead. Eeee!! It's my first blog post and as you can probably tell, I'm super-excited about it! I have wanted to create this blog for some time now and I have finally had some time to gather all my ideas and get it started.

So what is naturally sweet?? It is where I will share information, ideas, and showcase a variety of products that are everything baby and toddler (& maternity too)!! Naturally sweet has a sweet spot for locally made (yay Canada!) items, as well as those that are eco-friendly and safe for our wee ones.

And who am I? My name is Tracy and I am a first time mama to my six and a half month old baby girl. She brings me such sweet joy and I can never get enough of her belly laughs!! In my role as a public health nurse, I am able to access current health and safety information to promote better practices; protecting our children and ourselves, and in turn can help prevent both accidents and illness! Phew...that was a mouthful!

My goal for naturally sweet is to create a comfortable environment where you can sit back with your morning cup of coffee or an evening glass of wine and learn something new or perhaps find that perfect item for babe.
